Critical review on microextraction techniques used in determination of histamine in food samples

Abstract Biogenic amines are basic nitrogen compounds, which formed due to the decarboxylation of amino acids or/and amination and transformation aldehydes ketones. Histamine is a heterocyclic biogenic amine present in wide range food products, including fish fishery meat their other dairy products beverages. The review summarizes innovative sample preparation methods for extraction histamine from various matrices. Both solid phase liquid based microextraction techniques used extracting histamine, but latter ones most popular. Currently, all fulfil demand green chemistry standards.
